The hosts were welcoming and kind, and if you’re looking for rest, the riverbanks are set up for quiet moments; a charming spot that I strongly recommend, though the peace and beauty of the place could use a bit more.

We spent a magical time in this charming house, especially with a swim in the Lot in a perfect setting… big thanks to the hosts for their attentiveness and friendliness.

We stayed in the tower room for three nights. It was a very atmospheric room, with a living room and a small balcony downstairs. A metal spiral staircase led us to the beautiful bedroom, complete with a nice bathroom. The location on the Lot river is fantastic. You can use a large garden with various cozy seating areas. On the river there’s a pontoon, reachable via a small bridge. Two canoes are docked there, plus a SUP board and a pedal boat. Breakfast was especially tasty. Chez Marie in Grand Vabre is a must for lunch. In the evenings, surprisingly good food is available at Les Passes (a kind of cafeteria at a holiday resort) and at brasserie Les Rives du Lot (just below the bridge to the right). We were there in mid‑September, and it wasn’t always easy to find a restaurant that was open.
