A nice spot to unwind and enjoy Bali’s chill weather, with a beautiful sunrise over Java Island. The kitchen supplies and cabinets could be a touch cleaner, though I understand that’s hard in a tropical, humid setting. The baby cot was a bit fragile, so we didn’t use it, and our baby isn’t used to a cot anyway.

The villa is poorly designed for Munduk’s climate: the kitchen is fully open, there’s no way to heat the rooms and the bedrooms feel very damp, so the comfort suffers a lot. The property is also very isolated and feels almost abandoned because it’s so quiet and not lively. When we arrived the jacuzzi was out of order, and we were disappointed that no commercial gesture or compensation was offered. Also, no restaurant is within walking distance, so you have to plan all your meals in advance. In short, we were very disappointed with this hotel. Munduk itself is absolutely gorgeous and worth a visit, but we would not recommend this place. We even decided to cut our stay short and leave earlier than planned.

This hotel is a real gem, tucked away in a beautiful setting. The pool and sauna were amazing, and the massages were probably the best I had on my whole trip. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and breakfast in the private kitchen was a nice touch. It's perfectly located for hiking to the waterfalls, but if that's not your thing, there's not much else to do around here. Unfortunately, there was construction right outside our room, so it was noisy during the day.

The location and room were great, but that's about where it ended for me. The pool was freezing, like, can't-even-get-in-it cold. Not exactly what I was looking for.
