Close to Yale University, museums and galleries. The reception might be cosy like a study, but the rooms should be named the office - cold and stark in terms of decoration. They need to give better instructions re valet parking. No space in front of hotel for valet, had to drive around the block twice and eventually parked at a public garage on York street. Noisy room, 2nd floor, all HVAC equipment right next to my window and gym next door to room, the humming of the treadmill woke me up at 5am in the morning, thankfully I had earplugs. The television channels were also not working, not sure why offer this, if it is not in a working condition. The staff are very non-chalant, avoiding making eye contact when you enter the lobby, reception could not make any effort to greet you when you come down to grab your morning coffee. Maybe that is how they do it in New Haven, but hospitality should not be this poor

Excellent stay to visit my daughter who is student at Yale. The staff at the Study is very nice and kind and do their best to make you feel welcome. The room is comfortable and clean with a great long desk to work "away from home"
