The rooms on the first floor sit right above the pedestrian zone, so the noise from passing foot traffic is intense, especially at night when you can't leave the window open for safety or sound reasons. The shower drain also gave off a strong unpleasant odor. I asked for a different room, but even though the hotel’s website still listed rooms as available, they told me none were free. Charging 100 € per night for that room felt completely overpriced. Too bad.
