The caravan equipment at the campsite was good, but the key hand‑over was far too late and the hand‑off too early; we booked for three days but ended up staying only two and a half.

The place was clean and the key hand‑over was simple and straightforward, but the gate card kept failing; you have to leave the card on the table when you leave, which means you have to drive out, find a parking spot, drive back, put the card on the table again, lock the gate, and then head back to the car.

The room was clean, but there was no sunshade, no proper vacuum cleaner (which was needed for four people over a week), and no way to hang towels and swimwear outside to dry. Part of the grounds was under construction, and we had indicated that we were traveling with a 15‑year‑old; the bed held up for him, but it was a lightweight frame that squeaked and creaked with every movement, especially at night, which was very annoying. In my view, this is really just a room for younger children.

The campsite was beautiful with a variety of activities, and the Caravan Joaninha accommodation was fabulous—spacious, air‑conditioned (which we enjoyed because the weather was great), comfortable, and well‑equipped; everyone was happy, even the dog had plenty of space to roam. Fantastic, I highly recommend it.

No electricity or gas meant no hot water or cooking, so all our groceries spoiled because there was no power.
