The breakfast was tasty, the hotel’s location was good near the subway, and the rooms were large and comfortable, but the room layout probably caused the constant snoring from the next room at night, which was very uncomfortable.

The breakfast was included and the 7000‑yen price felt like a good deal. The room was clean and the staff were very polite. I liked that I could check the laundry status on the room TV. The buffet area in the dining hall was a bit narrow, so you had to line up, which was a downside.

I was happy that the station and the food streets were close, but as a member of the Higashi Yokohama Inn, I was annoyed that I still had to fill out paperwork right from the start, which took time. Because I booked through another site, the staff gave me a puzzled look and I felt bad.

We ran into a couple of room issues, but the staff were very friendly and efficient at finding quick solutions, and there was nothing else to note.

Getting around was convenient, the hotel was close to the Joto‑Minami line at Yodoyabashi Station—just a 7‑8 minute walk—and nearby the heart of the city, with 7‑11 opposite and FamilyMart and KOHYO on the corner of the avenue, plus Ikari supermarket near the station’s exit. The train to Kyoto via Kitahama on the Keihan line was also close, about a 10 minute walk, with Fresco supermarket nearby. The breakfast menu was small but generous, with fresh bread baked daily that tasted great. The staff were enthusiastic and attentive, flawless service. Overall, the price‑to‑quality ratio was excellent for a budget chain. The laundry facilities could use a combined washer‑dryer; currently the washer and dryer are separate, requiring separate coin payments, and laundry detergent costs an extra 30 yen. This means at least three trips downstairs per load (coin for detergent, coin for wash, move clothes to dryer, coin for dry, then pick up). If the first 12‑minute dry cycle doesn’t finish, a fourth trip is needed. All of this assumes you have enough 100‑ and 10‑yen coins, as the machine won’t accept other denominations; otherwise you must go to the front desk to exchange, which is cumbersome. Laundry takes half an hour and drying 12 minutes, so if you don’t want to monopolize the machine you must constantly monitor it, leaving nothing else to do.
