We met a lovely, friendly family who served us wine, chatted, and gave us great local tips. The house balcony overlooks the entire valley with a breathtaking view, and the host even came out to help us find our way around. The downside is that it’s right in the old town center, so during rush hours the streets are packed with tourists – a double‑edged sword. Despite the warm hospitality, the room we stayed in was far from suitable for living: it was dirty, very old, the beds were unusable, and the shower was broken, lacking soap and shampoo; water even ran onto the floor and the toilet. The room was infested with bugs and spiders that had entered from outside, making it feel very hard. Still, I must commend the hosts for their kindness and genuine effort to make us comfortable.
