Hotel Aveny sits on Gävle’s bustling Kungsgatan, just a ten‑minute walk from the central station. All rooms feature private bathrooms, wooden floors, cable TV with movie channels, and free WiFi. The hotel is a short stroll from Gävle Concert Hall and the Swedish Railway Museum.

The hotel’s location and the technology at the entrance and exit were quite good, the bed and bath were warm, but the beds weren’t comfortable, especially the two beds with the mattress pads sliding left and right, the room lacked slippers and an AC, I got cold at night and fell ill.

Jag gillade rummet. Inte så glamouröst, men helt klart godkänt för priset. Bäst var nog badrummet med både takdusch och hållare. Blev först ganska otrevligt bemött på telefon i samband med mottagandet. Incheckning tidigast kl 15, men ingen möjlighet att lagra bagaget tidigare. Vid vidare kontakt fick jag till slut checka in tidigare. Frukostutrymmet var rätt simpelt, men upplevdes rätt kaotiskt, även med ett få antal individer. Hade kanske kunnat anpassats för att smidigare plocka än att personer ska gå fram och tillbaka?
