The location was great, the Jacobean ambience was wonderful, the staff were attentive and polite, the food was good, and the room felt cosy, though the bar below kept up a noise until about 11.30 and I wondered if acoustic flooring could be used; the room was quite expensive.

The 600‑year‑old building is incredible, and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate our early departure, even putting a mini‑fridge in our room to chill the breakfast they had provided and left in our room.

The breakfast was excellent and the location was great for where we were traveling to, but the bar was a bit overpriced and sadly didn’t stock any local beer, only generic brands.
