The location is good for the highway and to Val d'Orcia (45 min to Pienza). The property is large, with a modern kitchen and bathroom, and a private parking spot. There are charging options for up to 8 electric cars, which is surprising for this area, and a Hypercharger nearby at PAM Supermarket (5 min). The pool area and loungers urgently need modernization. There is a slight language barrier with the staff, who speak very little English. The accommodation is generally clean but very natural, so bugs and ants are constant visitors. For the holiday apartments, you have to bring your own trash bags and snack tabs; you might expect more equipment for the price. When I asked if we could get an extra blanket for the bed, I was only directed to the wardrobe with the winter blankets.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the location is beautiful with a fantastic view. There are many ways to relax, including a private pool overlooking the valley. Breakfast offers a good selection, featuring local products and our own olive oil. The room décor is lovely, everything is clean and well maintained.

We were deeply impressed! I’d say Macciangrosso was the best place we stayed at in Tuscany! It made our trip even more beautiful and joyful! We played tennis, swam in the pool, and read books in the garden! Dorel and Elena were very caring – the rooms were always clean, and the grounds were well‑kept. We will definitely come back here! “Good but too much money.”
I appreciated the service, the views, and the gardens at the resort. The description mentioned a fitness center, but in reality there was nothing of that sort; the so‑called “fitness center” was just a small room with two exercise bikes. It also claimed there was a tennis court, which did exist, but the equipment—rackets and balls—was terrible. The rackets were so worn that they fell apart in your hands, and the balls were so old that they didn’t bounce, making tennis impossible. Expecting guests to bring their own gear is unreasonable. The host promised to replace the balls at least, but didn’t follow through.

We were deeply impressed! I’d say Macciangrosso was the best place we stayed at in Tuscany! It made our trip even more beautiful and joyful!
