The vibe is unmistakably French Quarter‑style, giving off a New Orleans feel; the courtyard is gorgeous and a great spot to relax, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It’s also close to a delightful egg ball spot. However, the rooms could use a facelift, especially the air‑conditioning unit in ours, and a bit more soundproofing would help because it sounded like a million cicadas were buzzing in the room.

The hotel keeps its characteristic charm and is well maintained; the rooms are a bit basic but still comfortable, clean, and have a quiet air‑on. The restaurant food is nice. Breakfast isn’t included in the price and is quite expensive, but everything in Georgetown tends to be pricey.

The staff were polite and professional, but over the 7 nights there was no hot water for showers, the Wi‑Fi barely worked, and the building clearly needs an upgrade.

The hotel is fantastic, the room is spacious and the service is very good. Cleaning is well done and they often give little treats like cinnamon buns. The issue is the cost of meals, but that’s due to the high cost of the country.
