Erika was very welcoming and gave me plenty of advice to enjoy my stay at M’Pai Bay. As the only client, she offered me a better room. The location is right next to the beach. The room and the shared bathroom were clean. The building is rather old and, being in the village, you hear everything happening nearby; it can be a bit noisy in the evening but stops after 22 or 23 h.

A lovely, simple, tiny guesthouse close to the beach. There are two room types: basic wooden rooms upstairs and concrete rooms downstairs. In the off‑season it’s cool enough to stay upstairs, but the few ground‑floor rooms are more private and cooler in temperature. At the time of writing, a personable Lithuanian lady runs the place and you might be able to negotiate use of her kitchen if you stay long. Next door is a great local restaurant, too. The beach is only a few steps away.

Well‑located, good value for money. Basic comfort, a fan that’s blocked but still works, and a good mosquito net! No toilet paper outside the bath towels (the manager refuses to put it in case tourists flush it in the toilet), and shower gel or shampoo isn’t always available. It’s fine for budget stays, perfectly acceptable for the price.

Very good stay; the owner and housekeeper are lovely people. Snorkelling equipment is available. The room is comfortable with a mosquito net and a fan over the bed. The house is charming, the position is perfect, and there’s no noise at night in the room.
