Life in Amed Beach Hotel

The hotel is beautiful right on the sea – a special place in Amed! It’s a lovely classic 4‑star hotel with a nice pool area and incredibly friendly, helpful staff. Our villa was directly on the beach – simply gorgeous! We especially enjoyed the early mornings: watching the sunrise over the sea and seeing the fishermen’s activity on the shore. The creaking of the fishermen’s winches can be heard in the morning, but it didn’t bother us at all. On the contrary, it added to the authentic charm of the place. Breakfast was very tasty, and the bathroom under the open sky was a particular highlight. The hotel is a bit off the beaten path, but several nice warungs are within walking distance. You can snorkel wonderfully right on the beach, although there are no loungers or parasols. Other beautiful snorkeling spots are about 10 minutes away. It’s a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the original Bali. We felt completely at ease!

A beautiful little spot, snorkeling and walking in from the beach. The team is very friendly and the features are lovely. The beach is a working beach, so you don’t really lie on it. It’s still fun to see the boats with the catch come in every morning.

“Disconnect from whats no longer important, and reconnect with yourself and the locals in Amed.”

The local vibe in Amed was something I really appreciated, even though the room fell short on amenities and the face washer was a surprise, but I managed. Meeting the family at Warung Dodo was a highlight, and the coastline and mountains were stunning, making me feel the true spirit of Bali.

“Magic place to relax and wind down”

The cottages were roomy and comfy, and the outdoor shower was a real treat. Having beach access was a huge plus—we snorkeled off the beach daily and even chased a sea turtle for almost thirty minutes, which was unforgettable. The restaurant served good food, especially the Chicken Satay, and the rural, quiet setting was a plus. Shops and restaurants were within walking distance, and the hotel could arrange transport to nearby shops and pharmacies.
