Convenience and price were good. Pillows were a bit too flat and it was nice to have tea towels and a chux, but there was no dishwashing liquid.

The location was great and the room size was suitable for two people, and the host responded quickly to messages. However, we had selected the “hotel” filter when booking, expecting amenities like a bag drop so we could explore the city before check‑in; since it’s inside a hotel, those aren’t actually included, so we didn’t get any hotel perks. Only one key made it hard to move around—if one person left to get something, the other stayed stuck until they returned. There were also maintenance issues that need fixing, such as a toilet roll holder that falls out of the wall whenever you touch it and an air‑conditioner that stopped working at one point. The strangest part is that it doesn’t offer Wi‑Fi. In 2026, this wasn’t a filter I thought I needed to use when searching for a hotel, but not having Wi‑Fi was very inconvenient.

Being right next to the train station, SkyBus and the aquarium was incredibly convenient, and the tram stop was just a two‑minute walk away. Unfortunately the flat wasn’t very clean – dishes were still dirty and the bathtub needed a good scrub before we could use it, plus the toilet‑paper holder kept falling off. There was also no plug for the tub, which was a hassle. All in all, the location saved the day but the cleanliness left a lot to be desired.

The apartment’s central location and decent‑sized room made the price feel right, and we appreciated the easy walk to everything. On the downside, there was no phone number to call in an emergency, only an email that took ages to answer, and the key card wouldn’t open the lift on our floor. The fan in the reverse‑cycle unit barely cooled the hot room, there was no TV remote, and we were asked to wash dishes and take out the rubbish even though a cleaner was scheduled.
