“Best oké, maar niets bijzonders (in die prijs-/sterren-categorie)”
The spot is pretty nice, and the garden is truly beautiful. Breakfast was fine for a hotel of this tier, nothing special, and the food at “The Chimney” (a restaurant inside the hotel complex) was delicious. However, the service mindset at the front desk, breakfast restaurant, and Drawing Room isn’t very strong 😔. For instance, I explicitly requested a quiet garden‑view room before and during check‑in; it was confirmed, yet I got a room on the opposite side overlooking the parking lot 😔. I could have swapped, but still 😔. Smoking in the Drawing Room is frequent 😔, and if you’re alone the waiter may bring a menu but then never come to take your order 😔. After about 15 minutes or more, if you ask the bar or order yourself, the reply is “I was busy.” Of course 😔 – there’s really room for improvement in service quality 😔.
