Steve greeted us and chatted about the local pubs, walks, and clear skies, which was super helpful; after a week’s stay we found a welcome box with breakfast cereals, jams, and a freshly baked loaf, and the room was fully equipped for cooking our own meals, as we did several evenings; the surrounding area was gorgeous, with wild horses, donkeys, and cattle roaming freely, giving us a feel of another world after traveling from Oldham, and there were plenty of pubs serving food, making it perfect.

The place was super comfy, spotless, and huge; the stable was gorgeously decorated and we felt right at home, plus the tiny courtyard with benches and blooming flowers was a treat. The location was spot on—close enough to everything and with plenty of spots to wander. We loved the recommended walks and even took a few of our own, greeting all the friendly roaming animals. The hosts were fantastic, welcoming, helpful, and full of useful info from the moment we arrived. It was the best short trip we’ve had in a long while, and we’re already looking forward to booking again!

“A beautifully equipped stay in a perfect New Forest location, with thoughtful touches for families, and magical moments”

The place is stunning and fully equipped, right in a perfect spot. A short stroll takes you to a charming pub and a great view of the New Forest. We were welcomed by Steve, who gave us great advice and recommendations. The breakfast basket was a nice touch. We stayed with our one‑year‑old, and the cot was ready along with a baby towel and a rubber duck for our daughter to play with. Everything was carefully planned and thought out, and we adored our stay. The only thing we could mention is that the TV was a bit slow, and while there is a dishwasher, a silicone drying mat would have been useful for washing up—neither of these detracted from the overall experience.
