The spot works perfectly for what I was doing, with two convenience stores, a chemist, and a handful of eateries close by, plus a train station that feeds into HSR Taichung Station. My single room was roomy, spotless, and the bed—though hard—was very comfortable. The receptionist didn’t come across as especially friendly over the phone.

The space is roomy and parking is easy. I stayed here twice; the first time was over a weekend and they gave me a token, which felt like great value. This time I checked in on a Sunday, had to leave the next day for business, and the comfort wasn’t what I expected. Sunday didn’t come with a token, so that feature was missing. Also, due to the hotel’s energy‑saving policy, the air‑conditioner panel stuck at 25°C no matter how I set it, which was too warm for me because I’m heat‑sensitive and needed around 23°C. I reported it to the front desk, and the staff responded quickly, but the temperature never dropped. I spent the night scratching from heat rashes, which ruined my sleep and disrupted my business trip the next day. I get the push for carbon reduction, but individual needs shouldn’t be ignored; forcing a single temperature hurts the quality of stay. I hope management will think this over carefully.

The lobby looks pretty. Our king bed was made from two twin beds joined together, and in the middle it felt hard and uncomfortable; the mattress itself was also on the firm side. In line with environmental efforts, they didn’t provide toothpaste, toothbrush, hair conditioner, comb, cotton swabs, or bottled water, which is inconvenient for guests on short stays. A vending machine sells a set of toothbrushes for $200, which seems unreasonable. A double room costs $5400, which doesn’t feel worth it, so I won’t stay again.
