Château Elan at The Vintage, Pokolbin, is a luxury golf and spa resort, 2 hours from Sydney. The resort features spacious suites and villas, an outdoor pool, fitness centre, and 18-room spa. It overlooks a Greg Norman-designed golf course and offers fine dining, gourmet wine, free parking, and Wi-Fi, with Cessnock Airport just 5 minutes away, amidst native kangaroo habitats.

The place was really nice, with plenty of green spaces and loads of kangaroos to spot, and the staff were very friendly. The local pub, Nineteen, was also amazing!

Breakfast was awesome, offering a wide variety of options including poached eggs, and the views were lovely. The rooms were comfortable, the bed was cozy, and there was plenty of lighting. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had planned to dine at the restaurant, but it was too pricey and you have to pay extra for sides with a meal.

The staff make this accommodation feel great; they are welcoming and go above and beyond. The rooms are spacious, clean, and feature nice balconies. The golf carts to and from the restaurant are convenient, and I love the new furniture at Spikes Bar. The food is excellent, and I would definitely stay again—just when there's a good deal. The beds are so soft that you almost fall off them if you sit on the side. The bathroom feels worn out, with the door falling apart and water damage; it could use a bit of TLC. Be mindful of midweek days, as breakfast is available but other meals aren't until Thursday. We ate at Mezze, which was fabulous. The cleaner knocking on the door before 9 am was a bit annoying. We used the Do Not Disturb sign. There is no toaster in the one‑bedroom accommodation.
