Nice, clean, good location, shared kitchenette with tea – no elevator, but that’s how it is in Thailand.

The room was small but had six very spacious beds for six people, two common showers, several toilets, and a balcony for fresh air; the property offered a communal hang‑out space and water bottles in the room on arrival. The bedsheets were old and made of cheaper fabric, so they weren’t comfortable on the skin; one communal shower had bad drainage, and the room for six had very little space – you could only walk in, stash some items in the locker, and lie on the bed, with no extra room for anything else.

The bed was incredibly soft, but the early‑morning smell of fried fish was off-putting.

The room offered a fantastic view of Chiang Mai’s mountains, with the Thapae Gate visible and people strolling by; the humidifier and coffee machine (using plastic capsules) were available, and the communal area was nice for groups, though it didn’t suit us as a couple. The fourth‑floor location kept the room quiet, but the air was initially stale and humid, so we had to open every window and fan it out; plus, there’s no lift, so carrying bags up the stairs can be a workout.

I appreciated the charming common area and the convenient spot near Phae Gate, especially while staying during Songkran when the roads were lively; the in‑room amenities were cute, but the third‑floor room felt a bit small and narrow, and without a lift it’s tough if you have a lot of luggage.
