I had my own breakfast, the place was peaceful and nice, and I was able to arrive early to change before the normal check‑in time; the staff were very accommodating. The stairs to the second floor were not great, with too long a gap between the steps, which isn’t suitable for seniors.

The cabin is cozy and about a 15‑minute drive from central Varberg. I booked the upper floor room, but I also knew the lower floor room was not booked because we were traveling with a pet. We arrived late Friday night and paid around 2500 kr plus an extra fee for our cat. The next day we were heading to lunch in central Varberg around 13:00, and at about 15:00 the hosts called me and screamed that we had to pick up our cat because he was meowing. They kept shouting that we didn’t know how to care for animals and that we were “pet‑problem” owners who wouldn’t let our cat out (who is an indoor cat). This was odd because we had agreed and paid extra for pet accommodation. Their argument was that we hadn’t agreed our cat could roam freely in the cabin and that he was only supposed to be on the upper floor for the weekend. Anyone with pets will understand that you can’t lock a cat in a loft for an entire weekend. We’ve traveled many times with our cat and it’s never been an issue; he’s social, happy, loves car and train rides, and is a family member we bring on adventures. I was so upset that we left the accommodation on Saturday and didn’t stay the whole trip. Booking’s customer service was contacted and refunded the full amount because they agreed the situation was unacceptable. So if you travel with pets, don’t book this place.

Very charming and cozy with a nice garden outside, but it was incredibly quiet and the price was a bit too high.

The house feels authentic, the landlord is helpful and lives at the same address, but having to share the kitchen, toilet, bathroom, and living room with other tenants – not the house’s fault, but it should be clearer when renting – forced us to leave early.
