The location was very good, the food and breakfast were tasty, and there were plenty of walks around the area. The only issue was that we weren’t warned about a pre‑Independence Day event; the loud music in the lobby kept us from resting, so we had to leave the hotel, although they promised to refund the night we didn’t stay. They should inform guests about such activities before booking.

The spot couldn't be better – just a few minutes' walk from Pablo Neruda’s house and right next to a police station, so I felt safe leaving the car on the street. The only downside was that in the off‑season the staff seemed pretty thin, which made service a bit slower.

The rooms felt cramped for the price we paid, and the parking fee wasn’t included at all. To make matters worse, the front desk missed our checkout and walked into the room while my partner and I were still in bed – a real nightmare. On top of that, the phones were dead and nobody offered any explanation.

The hotel itself is gorgeous and we had a smooth second trip with the girls, no issues at all. The only disappointment was that the restaurant wasn’t open to the public, so we couldn’t grab a meal there.
