Location was perfect for the course I was on. All staff were outstanding and food was excellent. Great value for money. Even though the rooms were comfortable I think the on suites and the rooms could be modernised

The staff, especially those at breakfast, were friendly and the morning meal was good. The rooms were awful: we booked two, one had a stale smell as if the window hadn’t been opened in months and carried a scent of someone else; I had to ask for clean towels because the ones provided were dirty, and only one large towel was given for two people. A poo‑like residue stuck to the toilet required a cleaning request. I’m not sure if the sheets had been changed after the previous guests, as there were lots of hairs on the pillows and under the sheets before we even entered; I didn’t raise it then because I was exhausted, but it was very uncomfortable.

Check‑in was easy, the place was clean, and the service was friendly; the room offered good value for money.

The staff were friendly and helpful even though we arrived very late. There was nothing we didn’t like; everything exceeded our expectations.
