“Authentic Sri Lankan hospitality.”

Mangalika, the host, was fantastic, taking great care of us and cooking delicious meals. The room was very spacious with a balcony where we could sit to read and eat. The house sits in a residential area within tuk‑tuk distance of Kandy centre and even closer to the cricket ground. A meditation centre nearby was fascinating to visit. The family arranged cricket tickets for us and helped us understand the railway ticket system, providing amazing assistance.

“Great accommodation and fantastic people”

This accommodation is absolutely fantastic. The room is lovely with a view of a pond, but the real highlight is Mangelika and her husband, who make you feel like the most special person in their universe. Don’t hesitate to visit them—you won’t want to stay anywhere else. Two weeks with them flew by too fast.

Our stay at Kandy Calm Residence was fantastic. The independent guest wing was ideal, offering everything we needed, relatively modern, and private from the rest of the home. Mangalika was a brilliant host. We chose dinner on the first night after a long day of travel, and the kottu was delicious. We also enjoyed breakfast both mornings, which was delicious and fantastic value for money.
