“Schnuckeliges uriges Hotel in England”
Very friendly staff and we had a great dinner there, but the steep stairs to the first floor were not ideal for my wife’s knee.

The Old Ferry Boat, a historic inn with a thatched roof and white stone walls, overlooks the Great Ouse River. Dating back to Anglo Saxon times, it offers tastefully furnished rooms with free Wi-Fi, TV, and private shower rooms. A 30-minute drive from Cambridge and Duxford Imperial War Museum, it features a restaurant serving traditional and exotic meals, and a full English breakfast.

I stayed at a charming inn that served a good breakfast and had attentive staff; live music played downstairs in the evenings. The room got very hot in early September, but the fan was easy to use.

The room was spotless and the bed comfortable, and the breakfasts were delicious with plenty of options for dinner; the location was very quiet and offered a lovely view across the river. Nothing was wrong.

The inn’s location near the river was peaceful and not busy. Nothing was wrong.

The inn offered decent food and good service, with a smooth check‑in, a friendly bar, and helpful waiter service; pub food was decent. The bathroom needed a thorough cleaning and fresh paint, and there were slight damp patches around the window area. The bed was small but acceptable, and there was nothing nearby to walk to, making the place feel a bit isolated.
