The view was nice, staff were friendly, the restaurant offered a variety of dishes, breakfast was good, and the resort was clean and well kept. It isn’t right on the beach; walking to the beach takes 10 minutes on a broken path littered with trash, and the longer walk could expose you to monkey attacks. The room had no wardrobes, only two small tables. Every morning at 6 am, birds or monkeys would hit our window, so it happened every single morning at about 6 am. The room wasn’t fully sealed to the outside, so mosquitoes came in at night and large lizards often ran through the room.

In the middle of nature, the room was spacious and came with a terrace. The mosquito net was missing, and in March on the way to the resort I got bitten by a monkey that was trying to protect its young; I couldn't get away fast enough. I expected the owners to give me more professional advice on wound care. I was vaccinated against rabies and had boosters in Phnom Phén and Bangkok, so after a monkey bite medical attention is essential—go to the nearest hospital, rinse the wound with plenty of water and soap to reduce viral load, and keep a safe distance from the otherwise friendly locals.

“It was a pleasure to stay at the resort as the staff were lovely and the facilities were excellent”

The staff were very friendly and the facilities were great. The only downside was that the location was a bit far from everything.

Everything was excellent: cleanliness, a comfortable room, and breakfast. The sea view and the breakfast were very pleasant. The location was not the most convenient for the best beach or the livelier part of the island, but we always walked without any problems.
