Breakfast was very good, service was friendly, and the location is a 1‑hour drive from Inhotim and BH, but it’s practically inside Serra da Moeda near the best spots. It’s a lodge, so don’t expect hotel‑level accommodations; the place is pleasant, open, and close to a reserve. There are several dogs roaming freely on the property, and the dining area is also open; if you’re not a fan of dogs or insects like cicadas, beetles, ants, or geckos, you might want to look elsewhere because the area is open and close to a reserve, so there will be many of them, even with windows closed they still end up in the room. A tip for the owners: add mosquito nets to the windows and insect protection to the doors. The room we booked had a courtyard with a bathtub and private area, very Instagram‑worthy, but the bathroom is inside the room, separated only by a divider, and the courtyard shares a wall with neighbors, so you can hear their conversations and vice‑versa. The bathroom issue is that when someone showers, the humidity stays in the room and the smells too. And because it’s so close to a reserve, there are many insects; if you leave the courtyard door open, insects come in and the humidity and smell don’t escape. :-D The only window is in the bathroom, and in the morning the sun hits and lights up the whole room, there’s no blackout. In the end we requested a room change and were promptly attended to; we were moved to a room with an internal bathtub and no private courtyard. We preferred that room with an internal bathtub and a view of the forest because it has a separate bathroom, but it also lacks a mosquito net on the windows.

“Excelente”

Breakfast was excellent, not a lot of variety but everything served was top quality – orange juice and coffee that I hadn’t tasted in any other hotel, yogurt, cheese, and a ricotta with a crust that made me want to pray. We were very well received by Deborah and her mother, a real kindness. I liked it a lot and highly recommend! What could have been better for us? Only the weather – so much rain that we couldn’t really enjoy the pool area.
