I absolutely loved staying at this historical hotel; the building and rooms are beautifully renovated and well maintained. The only drawback is that there are only six rooms, so a large group might need to consider that. While we were on the patio at sunset, we spotted bats emerging from behind the Dogflemyer Hotel sign—an unexpected but nice touch.

We were close to the State Park we wanted to visit and parking was a breeze; the bed was comfy and the hotel gave us water for our bottles before we hiked, plus an ice machine that came in handy. No loud noises were heard, though ear plugs were available just in case. My husband found the stairs a bit hard, the sinks could have been cleaner, and there was a slight musty smell on arrival that wasn’t too bad. The owner responded promptly when I mentioned these issues.
