From the moment we stepped inside, Robert Gonzales treated us like family, greeting us with a big smile and helping us check in quickly; when I forgot my Marriott number, he looked it up and wrote it down for me, and I’m already planning more stays in Waco at this hotel. One improvement would be to offer small hairspray bottles in the shop.

The hotel was clean, the staff friendly, and breakfast offered a wide variety; we enjoyed the outdoor patio and the nice pool area, but the pool was unusable because of an algae bloom. Despite the bloom being resolved quickly elsewhere, no one addressed it during our 3‑day stay, so we were disappointed we couldn’t use the pool.

The rooms looked clean and felt tidy, and the hotel’s location was a plus. However, when I booked online I saw a different price, and at check‑in they charged me $180.
