“We loved Tuscany but were completely blown over by the beauty of the location at Pescaia!”
We spent two very happy days at Agriturismo Pescaia during our week in Tuscany. The two‑bedroom cottage could comfortably fit four people, but it felt luxurious for just the two of us. The bedrooms were comfortable, well equipped with plenty of storage, and the large living/dining/kitchen area was more than adequate for our stay. Outside, the scenery was breathtaking: the family’s vineyard and olive groves lay in the foreground, with more of the same and woodlands stretching out, mountains on the far horizon. The grassed area in front of the cottage was the perfect spot to enjoy breakfast or an evening glass of local wine while listening to the abundant birdsong—definitely the kind of experience that creates memories. The hosts were polite, professional, and genuinely nice. They sell a limited amount of their own olive oil and honey; we brought a good supply home but wished we had more luggage space to buy more. We gave some honey as gifts, and it was very well received. The walk from Pescaia into town is a challenge, so we took a taxi, which was pricey, but we also walked to the church—about one third of the way up—and bought tickets for the hop‑on, hop‑off bus that took us up the hill, around town, and back down to the church. Highly recommended in 30°C+ heat! Pescaia was a highlight of our Tuscany visit. The shower was a bit small, but it was good enough for us.
