The staff were amazing, friendly and accommodating, and the free parking plus a solid breakfast kicked off the day nicely; the atmosphere was very relaxing and the pub food was lovely. Parking was a bit tight for our estate car, but a little maneuvering and everything worked out.

The property sits in the town centre, only a short walk from the castle, and having the restaurant on site was convenient; the staff were very helpful. The room we stayed in was quite small, there’s no air‑conditioning, and because the rooms are above the pub, it can get rather loud.
