“Our stay was very comfortable, short and sweet, service station and garden centre in easy reach.”

The cabin was clean, small, and quaint, with a comfortable bed and an adequate, spacious shower room. Facilities were ample—TV, refrigerator, kettle, microwave, etc.—and the beverages were a nice surprise, including cereal for all occupants. Local transportation to and from York City Centre was available, and a short walk led to a service station, garden centre, and a decent café or restaurant. The host was very helpful; when our Uber taxi didn’t arrive, he offered us a ride to the event. The accommodation itself had no issues, but Uber taxis tend not to arrive due to the location.

Cute and tucked away at the bottom of the garden, it was clean and tidy, and the location was perfect for our needs.

I stayed here before visiting family in Market Weighton, so it was convenient for that. I only saw the cleaner once, who was friendly, and the place was reasonably clean overall. I stayed two nights. The ground‑floor room I used last time had tired furnishings and basic curtains at the glazed entrance door, which I kept closed for privacy and had to light up inside. The dressing table was good but lacked a mirror or stool; the nearest mirror was in the bathroom, which had no natural light. The kitchen was very basic, suitable only for snacks. I would prefer to pay a bit more for better furnishings and hope to find a better option next time I visit the area.

“Fab short break”

The location was perfect for what we wanted, and everything we needed was in the property. The bed wasn’t to our comfort, but others will likely find it comfortable.

“Nice dog friendly stay.”

I loved the views and the dog facilities, and the place is close to Beverley. The fridge had milk and the coffee was good, plus the Bielby canal walk was nice. The kitchen floorboards creaked, but that was only because I was aware of people below.
