B&B HOTEL Meaux

The night went well, but the photos on the website belong to a different hotel in Nanteuil les Meaux, and I was charged twice: once when booking and again on arrival – very disappointed.

The room had a slightly small double bunk bed, and the bathroom came with thin, gray towels. On the second morning, the croissants were from the previous day and a bit hard; my disabled daughter couldn’t have breakfast because she was ill, and we didn’t get a €9.50 refund – disappointing.

“AWFUL AND NOT SAFE”

The area felt unsafe and it seemed there were no checks on who was staying. We were traveling with two small children and just needed a place to sleep before Disney, but this was the worst place we’ve ever stayed. Don’t expect a budget price like a Premier Inn; it feels more like a hostel. A group of intimidating men knocked on our door around midnight and tried to enter, as if they were inspecting our room; we were scared they might return and break in, so we left just after midnight. The bed was like a rock, more of a platform than a mattress. The bathroom was grubby and basic. No staff were available at night, making it hard to raise concerns, and the phone number didn’t work. Although the building was gated, it seemed people could come and go, possibly sharing codes. There were no facilities in the room, though a kettle was available at reception. I raised my concerns with the hotel the next day, but they ignored me. DO NOT GO HERE WITH YOUR FAMILY OR AS A FEMALE GROUP OR SOLO TRAVELER.

The room was clean, but the bed had no slats, only a thin mattress on a board – not comfortable.
