The lodge boasts a stunning outdoor area surrounded by nature, plus a heated pool and sauna. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, and breakfast is also very good. The room itself is simple and could use a bit of maintenance; I sensed the lodge was undergoing a management change and adjustments. We stayed in the lower room, and the sound from the air‑conditioner and the upstairs toilet leaked noticeably.

For anyone wanting to escape São Jorge’s bustle, this lodge is ideal. The rooms sit amid vegetation, so silence is absolute and sleep quality is excellent. The rooms are comfortable, the bathrooms are spacious, and Lu and Dilah are very attentive, handling everything on site. Breakfast is simple but tasty. A short stretch of well‑maintained dirt road leads to the property, and the wood‑heated pool has pleasantly warm water. The lodge is close to the Segredo, Raizama, and Morada do Sol waterfalls. The Wi‑Fi signal in the chalet was spotty, but that didn’t bother us at all since we were there for total rest, and it was easy to fix by heading to the restaurant.
