The location was close to a promenade with restaurants and cafés, but the breakfast was pricey, so we didn't use it.

The Parador de Calahorra, a charming red-brick building, is situated on the River Ebro's banks, surrounded by a lush garden with colourful flowers and palm trees. Housed in a historic building, it features large doorways, Christian artwork, and Medieval decor. The hotel offers a restaurant serving typical Riojan dishes and local wine, amidst a Roman-influenced city with a historic cathedral.

The place was quiet, but the bathroom lighting was awful, the sinks were too low, and the shower felt unpleasant.

Everything was very pleasant, welcoming, well‑located, and the staff were attentive.

It was quiet and had on‑site parking, but the furniture was very old and useless. The receptionist was fine this time, unlike before. The restaurant dishes are too heavy—roasts and the like—so we’d rather have eaten at the Parador, but they don’t offer gluten‑free options. Luckily, Calahorra has good restaurants.

The hotel sits in the city centre, the breakfast was good, and there was free parking available.
