The place was really nice, and Raphael, who is very worldly, hosted us. Breakfasts were great, featuring pineapples from the garden and Vietnamese‑style eggs. Toucans perched in the trees, macaws flew everywhere, and the bookshelves were full of interesting reads. The value was excellent. Adding Fidel the indomitable dog and the mischievous Mr. Trump the orange cat made the stay memorable. Thanks.

Rafael was incredibly friendly and always up for a chat, and his breakfasts were top‑notch. We also fell for the charm of Fidel and Mr Trump. Nothing else to complain about.

I really enjoyed my brief stay; the place felt like home from the moment I walked in. Rafael was incredibly helpful and sweet, even making coffee for me the night before my 4 am departure. The apartment is cozy, spotless and well‑kept, so I’d gladly recommend it.

The room was comfortable and perfectly situated for wandering the city, making it an ideal launchpad before heading to Corcovado. Rafael proved to be a caring, welcoming host who offered solid advice and spoke both English and Spanish. And Fidel the dog added a cheerful smile to the whole experience.
