If you want peace and quiet, this place tops the list—it was a much‑needed escape from everyday life, and at Tillietudlem you feel like the real world has vanished, leaving just you and nature. However, the lodge needs a touch of refinement; the kitchen lacks basic items such as a salad bowl or a Pyrex dish, so I had to use a pot for coleslaw and a pan for potato bake (luckily it was stainless steel and could go in the oven). Overall, the lodge feels outdated and could use some updates.

We stayed at Tillietudlem and it was a delight; the surroundings are stunningly beautiful, giving a calm and picturesque retreat. The room was cozy, spotless, and well cared for, with little details that made us feel right at home. Everyone on the team was warm and welcoming, which added to the great vibe. It’s the ideal spot to chill and we’d love to come back. The General Manager, Danny, was friendly and helpful, even sharing a brief but interesting introduction about himself and the private reserve. The only downside is that nothing at this price point is actually missing.
