Pension zum Landhaus

The gentleman and his wife were super friendly with plenty of smiles, even though we don’t speak the same language—French for us, German for them, which is normal in Germany. Their welcome was great, full of humor… hahaha, nothing to add, 10/10. Initially, we had booked a room for two adults on the same bed by mistake. At the last minute, we wanted two separate beds. Thankfully, they were understanding; it was our fault at booking. We should have booked two separate beds instead of one for two people. They gave us a room for three people with a single bed and a double bed without charging us extra. I recommend this family; their home is comfortable, and they offer free parking.

We were greeted very warmly and our dog was also welcome. At check‑in everything, including the shared bathroom, was clean. The hallway, floors and walls looked new and tidy. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom’s cleanliness drops when several people use it, which is normal because not everyone leaves it spotless… The doors were very thin and I woke up at night from loud conversations in the hallway (my son didn’t notice), but maybe people overall should be more considerate and avoid chatting on the hallway at night. The owners can’t do anything about that.

The room was spacious. The owner needs to do more to get everything in order. It needs to be much cleaner. Also the common areas: kitchen and bathroom. And tidy up outside too.

We called the accommodation at eight in the evening and were told they had a water pipe burst and could not receive us. They could not reach us. Since we were traveling by bike, it was extremely difficult for us to find something else. The next day we got our money back and found the hosts very unsympathetic. Everything.

“Unzumutbar und Katastrophal”

The only somewhat good thing was that the beds were freshly made. We can list everything individually, but the overall condition was a disaster and unbearable. See photos and bullet points. – Floor, rugs, runner dirty – Surfaces, mirrors, corners, edges extremely dusty and dirty – Curtains, headboard of the bed extremely dirty – Kitchen and bathroom with fly droppings, greasy floors and rugs. Unfortunately there were no alternatives, so we had to stay! The entrance area, courtyard and garden were piled with dirt and broken furniture. The extra dog fee of €10 per night was also outrageous under the circumstances. It couldn’t get any dirtier.
