The family who runs it is incredibly kind and welcoming, making you feel right at home.
The breakfast was a highlight - a delicious spread of local dishes that changed daily.
The place was spotless and had plenty of space.

“イチャンカラ内の便利な宿”
All the sights and shops I wanted to visit were within walking distance, the living area and the room felt spacious and pleasant, the English exchange about the Karakalpakstan tour went smoothly, they packed me a breakfast box for the early start on tour day, the two little boys were friendly and adorable, and I loved the bite‑size mini‑profiteroles at breakfast; we mostly used a translation app between Japanese and Russian, but it never caused any trouble, and the hosts even chatted about their family and showed wedding photos, a truly homely family‑run experience, plus thanks to the dad who drove us safely for four hours round‑trip. The only issue was being charged $4 for laundry after I had used the host’s washing machine myself; I was prepared to pay a small amount, but it felt a bit disappointing and made me wonder about the situation in Uzbekistan.
“Excellent séjour !”
The welcome was excellent and the hosts were charming. Breakfast was incredible, and the guesthouse is perfectly situated in the heart of the old town. I would have liked to be able to exchange, but the language barrier is significant when you don’t speak Russian.
“100% recomendado”
The hosts were very friendly and attentive. Everything was an excellent experience.
The location was unbeatable for walking around the old town. The young owner helped me carry my heavy luggage. I was allowed to stay extra hours until I caught my train. Both early morning departures and late night returns were supported. Hot water was always available, which I enjoy for making tea.
This place sits in a handy spot inside Ichankara, and although the hosts don’t speak English we managed using a translation app in Russian, paying everything in cash; the room, especially the bathroom, was spotless and comfortable. The owner gladly arranged a shuttle from the airport and, for an extra fee, a tour of Ayazkala and other ruins. Breakfast was lavish, and if you ask you can also get lunch for an additional charge; the local dish Shvitosh was delicious, the family treated us very kindly, the little kids were cute, and I’d definitely book again if I return to Khiva. A heads‑up for Japanese guests: the shower is tank‑type, so once the preset water runs out it turns to cold, and you can’t flush toilet paper in Uzbekistan.
