“Amazing all over”
Everything was amazing; I was upgraded and was the only guest in the room. The only thing I could point out is the lack of a gym in a 5 ⭐️ hotel.

The Lodge at ChaaCreek, a family-run eco-lodge in San Ignacio, offers elegant palm-thatched cottages with private verandas and jungle views. Set in a private rainforest reserve next to the Macal River, it features a health spa, eco-friendly pool, butterfly farm, and organic farm. Guests enjoy guided tours, canoeing, and trails for walking and horse riding amidst wild parrots and hummingbirds.

The staff at Chaa Creek are seriously top of their game - every single one I met was exceptional and went above and beyond to make our stay special. They really do make any guest request happen, which is pretty amazing. That being said, the location is pretty far outside of town and with no Ubers or taxis around, you're basically stuck using their private shuttles which can add up quickly. Plus, if you're looking to go out late, be prepared for some extra charges and arrangements.

We had a wonderful time at this lodge - the staff were friendly, the grounds were gorgeous, and our room was beautiful. There were also tons of fun activities to enjoy on site, like the stables, butterfly sanctuary, and canoes. That being said, we had a bit of a booking snafu - we thought we had booked for two adults and two kids, but it turned out to be for one adult and one kid, and we had to make a phone call to sort it out.

This place was a real treat - it was located in a stunning spot, super far away from everything, and the weather was lovely when we visited at the start of January. The food was delicious, if a bit pricey, and the staff were very attentive. We enjoyed the walking trails and bird watching, and it was great to have some rainy days to balance out the sunshine.
