1 double bed
“Disaster”
Food was good. Everything else was bad
“Een prachtige tuin met veel vogels in een hele rustige omgeving.”
When we arrived, we were already asked what we wanted to eat that evening. The kitchen was actually closed, yet they still managed to prepare a delicious meal for us
“Quirky but fun, lovely staff”
Great food, lovely treed area with sensational bird‑watching at times. Some electricity problems, which seems to be a recurring theme in The Gambia; car service is pricey
“Overall an enjoyable stay.”
Breakfast was very good, dinner was excellent, the chef even came out to ask if we enjoyed it, which we definitely did. The bed felt very hard, although Sarah tried her best to help; we were told ear plugs were available, but in a village like that, a light sleeper would need them!
“A comfortable and peaceful oasis with great service.”
Hibiscus House is a charming family‑run hotel in Brufut village, a peaceful oasis amid wildlife. Sarah and the team are extremely welcoming and hospitable. With its great setting, comfortable rooms, tasty menu, and everything needed to unwind after a long workday on a business trip, I highly recommend it! I had a great time and didn’t find anything I didn’t like
