It’s a lovely location, bedrooms were clean, could do with a refresh. were told that children were permitted to use the spa between 4pm and 6pm. However, at 6pm there were still children in the spa, and they remained there until around 6.30pm. We eventually decided to leave at approximately 6.20pm because the children were being loud and it was no longer a relaxing environment, which is what we had expected from using the spa. What happened afterwards was particularly unpleasant. Around 10 minutes after we left the spa, the children came into the changing rooms. One of the girls, who appeared to be around 14 or 15, urinated on the changing-room floor. Her mum was shouting at her and the other children throughout, as they were misbehaving, laughing and answering back. The mum eventually got the receptionist, but what was particularly disappointing was that the receptionist did not appear to be concerned by the situation at all. We found the whole experience extremely unpleasant and, frankly, quite disgusting and disrespectful. We paid to use the spa expecting a calm and relaxing experience, and unfortunately that was not what we received. I feel the situation should have been handled much more appropriately, particularly given that the children were still in the spa after the stated 6pm cut-off and the incident that subsequently occurred in the changing rooms. I would appreciate this being looked into and would also like to know what you intend to do to address this, as we were very disappointed with our experience. We later had dinner, which I have to say was lovely, so we were pleased with the food and service during our meal. However, afterwards we wanted to have a couple of drinks, and this became another frustrating experience. With two events taking place, nobody seemed to know where we could actually go to get a drink. We were directed towards a bar which had a “bar closed” sign, and when we asked reception, they didn’t seem to know where we could sit and have a drink either
