The surf spot and General Luna are just a stone's throw away, which is a huge plus, but the bathroom and toilet could use better upkeep.
“Good value for money for a private room, simple but passable.”
The location is fantastic, and the staff are helpful and kind—one even helped me with the scooter I rented elsewhere to drive it back. The coffee shop next door, ‘Coastal Grounds’, serves some of the best coffee on Siargao, and I had a great Tapsy Log with Nicole and JG. On the downside, there was no hot water, sand blew in under the doors making the room feel less clean without regular servicing, and a few local rodents chewed through some toilet paper and woke me up crawling on my face at night, though the staff apologized.
I like the bed and the overall feel of the room.
I didn’t find anything that moved anywhere else, but the place was dirty and the people were unfriendly.
It’s very inexpensive.
