Residenza d'Epoca San Cassiano, a 14th‑century villa overlooking the Grand Canal, sits a five‑minute walk from Rialto Bridge. Its antique furnishings and Murano glass chandeliers evoke historic charm, while every air‑conditioned room offers satellite TV, minibar, work desk, and Wi‑Fi. The Piano Nobile breakfast terrace presents fresh fruit, eggs, and bacon. Located in a quiet quarter, it connects easily to St. Mark’s Square and Santa Lucia station via vaporetto.

The front facing the canal is nice, but it’s overvalued and you get less than half the experience of Venice. On checkout day the guy who helped me was around 50, didn’t smile, and was very rude, as if the night had been a gift. When I asked for a water‑taxis to the airport he first said 170, then later 200, claiming he’d been mistaken. He didn’t accept credit cards and told me I could withdraw cash from an ATM in the lobby. I asked him to call another taxi, he called the same one again, and the machine that reads credit cards worked. I left the hotel and the dock, found a cheaper taxi that accepted cards, and overall these people seemed pretentious and overcharged. This hotel is a mess.

The location is superb, the staff were friendly and helpful, the building is beautiful, and the breakfast overlooking the Grand Canal was fantastic.

Le professionnalisme et la gentillesse du personnel. Le calme et l'emplacement de l'hôtel dans Venise (5mn des vaporetti). Le petit déjeuner est copieux et diversifié
