Allulivus in Montenero occupies a historic building offering sea‑view B&B rooms with private bathrooms, bathrobes and modern comforts, plus family suites and a lounge. The on‑site romantic restaurant serves Italian cuisine, vegetarian dishes, buffet breakfast and evening cocktails. Situated 10 km from Livorno Port, 24 km from Pisa Airport, it overlooks a tranquil garden near Abbazia di Montenero and Fosso Reale.

A spectacular sea view with sunsets, plus a nice dinner menu that offered fish or meat and could be made gluten‑free on request. The downside was the steep gravel path on the last 200 m, which our fully loaded front‑wheel‑drive car couldn’t manage.

The hosts were incredibly friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They served a tasty dinner at a reasonable price, and because we had to leave early the next morning they provided a lunch pack. The house sits quietly above Livorno with a wonderful view, on a large fenced property with lounge chairs. The room and bathroom are spacious and lovingly decorated. We felt very comfortable and recommend Allulivus without reservation, and would gladly return.

The location is dreamy; you drive up the mountain and can see all the way to the sea. It’s a secluded paradise. The garden breakfast service was very attentive and relaxing, and the value for money is excellent. The only issue was that one of the extra beds squeaked, but that’s not a problem if you’re staying just the two of you (we were four).
