The house and grounds were stunning, and if we had stayed longer we could have lounged in the garden and read in peace; it was also very quiet, and there was nothing we didn’t like.

The entire property was fantastic, our room was a decent size, and since we were the only guests on the first night we had the whole place to ourselves; the outdoor seating was very comfortable and the setting was serene, the only drawback being the lack of an ocean view.

A quiet spot at the edge of a neighborhood, off the usual routes, makes this Inn feel secluded. The building itself is gorgeous and the interior is a real showpiece. Our room was spacious, and the ensuite bathroom was stunning. If you want breakfast, the huge kitchen lets you cook it yourself, but the other five guests in the guestroom can do the same. Coffee and tea are stocked in the rooms. The bed was comfy and the room stayed clean. The only downside was the lack of a TV, either in the room or any common area—yet Wi‑Fi is available, so that seems odd. The couch in our room sagged noticeably when we sat on it. The air‑conditioner/heater unit in the room was very loud, and the central system made it hard to keep the temperature balanced between rooms. The host was friendly but not particularly warm or welcoming, which you’d expect from a small Inn. There were no welcome cookies, drinks, or even a greeting sign.
