The vibe is really cool! The place is spotless, the rooms are spacious and well equipped, the bed and linens are super comfy, and the staff are friendly and attentive.

We really liked staying at Otis Harbor Springs. The design is beautiful and the overall feel is cozy. The bed was especially comfortable and gave us a great night’s sleep. We appreciated the quality soap, shampoo, and conditioner—a small but nice touch. The service was friendly and attentive, and everything felt easy and well thought out. We’d gladly return when we visit Harbor Springs. The downside is that the morning coffee starts a bit late at 8:00 a.m.; an earlier option would be nice. The shower soap rack sits right in the middle of the wall, so you bump into it while showering; it would be better under the shower head or on the opposite wall. The bathrooms feel outdated and the carpets have visible stains. Overall, the place is pricey for what it offers, but it’s still one of the best lodging options in the area.

The lounge was nice and the grounds were lovely, but our room was dark and depressing. We couldn’t adjust the shades to protect our skin. The pleasant soap and hand cream didn’t compensate for the lack of breakfast, and at the ridiculously high price you could have easily included it. All in all, after being mentioned on the Today show, I expected more.

I landed at this spot for a ski trip and a wine tour, and the mid‑century modern vibe really hit the mark. The bar and restaurant were solid, and everything felt worth the price. The only downside was the bed – it was too soft for my taste, and I’d have preferred a firmer mattress.
