“Un moment incroyable dans ce Ryokan”
Everything was simply perfect. We enjoyed a fantastic time at this Ryokan, the host spoke excellent English, and the accommodation was wonderful. Breakfast was a unique experience. Nothing was lacking.
“Cozy ryokan (Japanese styled inn) tucked away near Miwa Station.”
I stayed two nights because it was close to both Asuka and Yamanobe-no-michi. The host had everything ready before I arrived and was very informative about nearby sights. There’s a small garden inside the ryokan, and the overall vibe was peaceful.
Local residents were very thorough in explaining the route from the Ōdaijinja shrine in the valley to the mountain path leading to Iwakuni Jinja. The plan was explained carefully. It was a bit chilly.
The ryokan is a 3‑minute walk from Miwa Station and very close to Ōdaijinja shrine. The staff were courteous, and the retro feel was nice. The toilet and washbasin were separate but close enough not to be a bother. The bath hours were limited, and the shower only produced a trickle. I wish the bathwater had been cleaner. Dinner was closed that night, so be aware; the izakaya is open but you need to check first.
