“Great view… nothing else”

The view is epic, and the location is 5 km off‑road, which is better than the 5‑hour drive from Antananarivo; it’s a short drive to the Rain Forest National Park. The service is horrible, managed by three clueless waiters who know nothing about hospitality 101. The food is subpar, portions are small, and breakfast was the worst meal I’ve had—wouldn’t serve it to a cat. The place has no facilities at all. It could be the best spot in Madagascar, but it’s far from perfect.

“Espectacular”

It’s a spectacular place, right in the mountains surrounded by nature, but the bathrooms could have been cleaner, especially the floors.

I couldn't get to the hotel easily, but the spot is gorgeous and the big room looks stunningly decorated.

“Otherwise really a beautiful stay and worth the stay.”

The place is serene, surrounded by nature, but the waste handling was a problem—there were piles of rubbish in the compound and they burned some in the morning. The nearby village also littered heavily as you walked toward the natural pool. As a hotel, they should respect the environment and manage waste responsibly. Plus, some Chinese guests were very loud, and I expected the manager to intervene and ask them to be quieter for other guests.

The food was good, the location is quiet, it’s great for birdwatching, and the place stays clean, but the walk to the hotel was a bit of a hassle.
