I stayed close to the main tourist spots and the FSMN station, but the main staircase had a really unpleasant smell that stuck in my mind.

The apartment’s spot is great—just a 10‑minute walk to Santa Maria Novella station and all the key sights, so you can stroll everywhere from there. We booked a room for three with a private bathroom, and both the room and bath were roomy and well‑furnished. The shared kitchen covered all our needs, and the host was super helpful before and during our stay, even accommodating a few extra requests that we appreciated.

The place is in a fantastic spot and the shower is spotless. However, there are a lot of stairs to get to the property, which weren’t mentioned in the description, and the outside noise is loud. The bed was the most uncomfortable I’ve ever slept in.
