We stayed in September, an off‑season period that made the place very quiet. After hiking around the area, we returned each day for a delightful stay. The hosts, Elena and Valdas, were absolutely the nicest people. The dinners and breakfasts were just delicious—no doubt the best we’ve ever had in Lithuania. It felt like home cooking but at the highest comforting level.

Very convenient if you’re kayaking the river. The host and facilities are amazing, and for an extra charge we got a private jacuzzi by the river.

The farmhouse, built in typical Lithuanian wooden style, sits idyllically on the river and right in the middle of the national park. The reception was extremely warm, and the owner even arranged a small canoe tour for us directly.
